We at Mythic Delirium Books (meaning Anita and I) were delighted yesterday to learn that Tanith Lee will receive a much-deserved Lifetime Achievement Award at the World Fantasy Convention in Brighton, UK this Novemeber.

Tanith is one of only two authors (the other being Marie Brennan) to contribute stories to all four volumes of Clockwork Phoenix. The complete list:

We’re honored to have contributed a footnote to the story of Tanith’s long career — and so glad for the chances we’ve had to get to know and work with her. #SFWApro

Congratulations, Tanith!

She is awesome. I always call her the fantasy author's fantasy author (like some comedians are referred to as the comedian's comedian) because genre authors love her and yet most of my non-writer friends have never heard about her (or if they did it's because I pushed her books on them)

Heh. I find a lot of my non-writer friends and acquaintances don't know who Neil Gaiman is. What chance does Tanith have?
